"In Myself Again: The PARENTS Postpartum Survival GuideDr. Michelle Wiersgalla and Dr. Gabrielle Mauren take their decades of expertise and experience as perinatal mental health leaders to highlight actionable steps for individuals and families experiencing perinatal mood and anxiety disorders. In clear and concise language, the authors give a high level overview of these common and disabling illnesses, and practical examples and tools to help. The stories from survivors are particularly compelling, and their encouragement and suggestions can hopefully help those who are struggling know they are not alone, and that recovery and healing are possible. The authors also focus on fathers and non-birth parents which is particularly important as these populations can also suffer from perinatal mood and anxiety conditions, and could also benefit from the book’s tools, resources and strong encouragement for self-compassion, self-care and support."
